His work employs the “self-portrait” format as a means to tell stories that are autobiographical in nature. His most recent work combines film, performance, public art, and technical aspects of producing a functional sculpture into a single endeavor.


About the Artist

Beidler is a multi-disciplinary artist residing in Portland, Oregon and his works are included in private collections across the United States as well as the permanent collection of Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and on public display at the confluence of the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers in Cairo, Illinois, which is the first public commission of his career. His exhibition record includes group exhibitions at the Grounds for Sculpture (Hamilton, New Jersey), The Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts, Grand Rapids, Michigan, and screenings at Cinteca-Matadero, the MADATAC multimedia festival in Madrid, Spain, the Hong- Gah Museum in Taipei, and the Northwest Film Center in Portland, Oregon.
