buffalo Buffalo.
April 4 – 26, 2013
Opening: First Thursday, April 4 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Gallery4Culture is pleased to present, for the month of April, a solo exhibition by Seattle-based artist Matthew Hilger. Hilger’s artistic training is in photomedia and his studio practice is deeply rooted in contemporary theory. For the 4Culture exhibition, he presents a combination of photographic images and objects that, combined, take the form of a carefully orchestrated, sparsely populated installation.

Whether as image, object, or a combination of the two, Hilger explores what things say they are; what things pretend they’re not; as well as what occurs in-between. Hilger has aptly titled this exhibition with a play on words: buffalo Buffalo.
